Rosicky bemoans misfiring Gunners

Tomas Rosicky believes Arsenal's profligacy is to blame for their failure to win anything.

Tomas Rosicky believes Arsenal's profligacy is to blame for their failure to win any silverware.

The Gunners will end the campaign empty handed after losing the Carling Cup final and crashing out of the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League in the last few weeks.

Rosicky feels Arsenal's lack of goals is the main reason why they have failed to challenge the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the Premiership.

"I was very sorry about the PSV (Eindhoven) tie, it was a big disappointment," Rosicky told Idnes.

"We wanted very much to go through. We were lucky to go into the lead, then the lads attacked them for 15 or 20 minutes and they had chances but they failed to add the second goal.

"The weak productivity has been destroying us.

"(Thierry) Henry has been having injury problems all season long and we have lost also (Robin) van Persie.

"Unfortunately we are not productive. This is why we are behind Chelsea and Manchester United."
