Reyes told to forget Real move

Arsene Wenger has told Jose Antonio Reyes to forget about a move to Real Madrid.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told Jose Antonio Reyes to forget about completing his dream move to Real Madrid before the end of the month.

The 22-year-old has continually reiterated his desire to join Real during the summer transfer window.

The Spanish giants claim they have tabled a firm bid for Reyes, but Wenger insists that is not the case and says his player has been unsettled by the speculation.

Reyes' agent has tried to speed up the switch for his player but Wenger has insisted that the attacker will continue to be an Arsenal player for the foreseeable future.

"It looks like it will remain a dream," Wenger stated.

"There is no deal with Madrid, I can assure you.

"His agent flies 2,000 feet in the air - but he must come down to earth again."

Ashley Cole is another player keen to leave The Emirates Stadium before the end of the month and Wenger says neither player is in the right mindset to appear for The Gunners.

He added: "Cole cannot be totally focused as his situation has not been sorted out. Reyes is in the same boat."
