Ronaldo and Baptista are both carrying knocks and have been excused duty for next month's games in the Middle East.

Brazil will play United Arab Emirates on November 12 and, on November 15, they will play Kuwait Sports Club.

National team coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has selected a 22-man squad for the double-header, with Lyon striker Fred and Barcelona midfielder Edmilson included.

Arsenal's Gilberto Silva is in the party, while Parreira has named three Brazilian-based players for the games.
