Aliadiere's Arsenal aim

Jeremie Aliadiere says he is looking to impress Arsene Wenger at Celtic.

Jeremie Aliadiere has admitted his loan move to Celtic is solely to catch the eye of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

Wenger has sent his fellow Frenchman to Glasgow for the whole of next season, with the hope being Aliadiere will prove he is over the knee injury which wrecked his last campaign at Highbury.

The forward is grateful to Celtic for giving him the chance to play regularly and is hopeful of showcasing his talents in The SPL.

"I want to come back to Arsenal for sure," he told Sky Sports News. "I am going for one season to show everyone I am back from my injuries.

"I want to come back strong at Arsenal and win my place back.

"Arsene has wished me luck and says he will keep his eyes on me. He wants me to have a good season and come back stronger."

Aliadiere is looking forward to working with new Bhoys chief Gordon Strachan.

"I don't know him, but he is a good coach and am looking forward to working with him," added Aliadiere.
