Pulis laughs off Gunners rumours

Tony Pulis has laughed off talk Arsenal are keen on Steve Simonsen.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has laughed off speculation linking Arsenal with a move for goalkeeper Steve Simonsen.

Reports over the weekend claimed Arsenal were lining up a move for the former Everton ace as they look to solve their goalkeeping problems.

Pulis has now joked he could be keen on a deal if Thierry Henry is offered in exchange.

"I'll let him have Steve for nothing - if he gives me Thierry Henry in return," said Pulis.

"Seriously, though, it doesn't sound too kosher to me, but there's no doubting Steve's form of late.

"The very fact he is keeping a goalkeeper of Ed's (De Goey) quality out of the side says it all, especially when Ed had been playing as well as at any time during his 18 months at Stoke. But Ed got injured and Steve has grabbed his chance with both hands."
