Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe has withdrawn from the England U20s squad due to a recurring knee injury.

The 19-year-old showed potential after returning from an impressive loan spell at Derby - earning himself a new contract at Liverpool in the process.

After 14 appearances for the Reds, Ibe had seem set to join the England youngsters at the Toulon Tournament over the summer only to pull out with the knee problem.

"Derby County forward Kwame Thomas has been called up to the England U20s squad to replace Jordon Ibe," a statement on www.thefa.com read.

"The Liverpool youngster has been forced to withdraw from the Young Lions party that will travel to the Toulon Tournament with a recurring knee injury."

England U20s have been draw in Group B alongside China, Ivory Coast, Mexico and Morocco.
