Reds enter season-defining run of games

Charlie Adam believes the next month will define Liverpool's season as the Reds push for more success. Kenny Dalglish's side have already lifted silverware this season following their Carling Cup triumph last month. But last weekend's last-gasp 2-1 defeat by Arsenal at Anfield has left the Reds 10 points adrift of the fourth-placed Gunners in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification next term. The Reds now have four more league matches in March, as well as an FA Cup quarter-final at home to Stoke City, and Adam believes the club are entering a crucial phase of the season.

Define

He told liverpoolfc.tv: "March is probably going to define the season for us and we're going to keep playing and trying to win as many games as we can. "Every game is a massive game at this club. Hopefully we can get ourselves on the road to being successful again. "You can never give up - you never know what can happen in this league. We'll never give up, no matter what. "The aim is still there to challenge and we're in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, so we're looking forward to the rest of the season. "We've got a lot of tough games, but they're games that we're ready for and hopefully we can win as many games as we can."
Reaction
Adam is eyeing a reaction to the Arsenal defeat when they take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. He added: "There have been positives all season. I think you can count on one hand how many bad performances we've had. "For us, it's important how we react to the disappointment of last weekend. "Now it's a case of dusting ourselves down and getting ready for the next game. "It's a tough game away at Sunderland and we know we've got to be ready for it."
