Reds boss refusing to speculate on the outcome of FA hearing

Kenny Dalglish has given little thought to how he might cope without Luis Suarez, with the Liverpool striker still available to him at present. There is a chance that the Uruguayan frontman could be handed a Football Association ban, with an independent panel set to announce the outcome of their investigation into claims Suarez racially abused Manchester United defender Patrice Evra. A decision is expected on Tuesday, with the case having dragged on for almost a week. Liverpool are aware that their most potent and consistent attacking weapon could be stung with a lengthy suspension if found guilty, but they are refusing to speculate on what might happen. For now, Suarez forms part of Dalglish's plans for Wednesday's trip to Wigan and the Scot will continue to involve the South American in his thoughts until told otherwise. Asked whether he had considered what being without Suarez would mean to the Reds, he said: "We don't have to unless he is injured and fortunately he hasn't been injured so we don't have to consider what the team would be like. "We will just wait and see what happens."

Planning

On whether the team would play differently if Suarez, who has featured in all but one of Liverpool's matches this season, Dalglish replied: "We'll cross that bridge if we have to cross it." While Dalglish is refusing to get drawn into a debate regarding Suarez's potential involvement at the DW Stadium, he is surprised to hear that Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is struggling to finalise his plans with so much uncertainty surrounding the striker. "If he is identifying Luis as a danger man then fine but I don't see how it prevents him from planning," added the Reds boss. "I don't think Luis is the only player that he has to worry about whether he is playing or not. "It has not affected us particularly."
