Mooney and Threlfall set to join on loan

Stockport County have lined up a double loan deal for Liverpool full-back Robbie Threlfall and Reading striker Dave Mooney. Skysports.com revealed the Hatters' interest in Threlfall last week, with the defender now back to fitness after injury cut short a spell at Hereford United. Threlfall is due to spend a month with Stockport and the League One club hope to tie up the deal before Tuesday's game with Cheltenham Town. The Hatters have also confirmed Irish forward Mooney is due to move to Edgeley Park on a month-long loan from Reading. Mooney was a target for Stockport boss Jim Gannon last summer, but opted to join Reading in a £100,000 deal from Cork City. However, he has made just two substitute appearances in the Carling Cup for the Royals and will now gain first-team experience at Stockport.
