Leeds boss refuses to confirm Reds pair

Gary McAllister has refused to confirm Leeds United are keen on landing Liverpool's Krisztian Nemeth and Astrit Ajdarevic on loan this season. The Whites have reportedly invited the pair to train with them in pre-season with a view to spending time with the League One side on loan this term. However, while McAllister has confirmed the club are looking at budding stars at Premier League clubs, he refused to state if the Reds pair are on his list. "We are looking at youngsters at Premiership clubs and making loads of enquiries," he told the club's official website.

Improvement

"We've had 1000s of names thrown at us from 100s of agents and it's a case of going through every proposition and looking at the players I think can make us better. "Some of the players you have seen us linked with I have spoken to, and we're looking at that calibre of player. It takes special players to come here who can play in front of a big crowd. "We are looking at the other end of the scale as well for young players who can excite the crowd. We want to play an attacking style, and we'll continue to look. "Ideally you would like the players here knowing they are doing their pre-season here, but at the same time we're not rushing in.
Patience
"It is quiet at the moment and it's a case of being patient, but I am happy that we are moving along quite nicely with certain things." Hungarian youngster Nemeth, who is currently preparing to play for his country's Under 19 side in the European Championship next month, says a possible Leeds move is pure speculation. "I'm only focusing on the national team," he told Pepsifoci. "I've heard the rumours but I don't care about them. "I have to go back to Liverpool after the European Championship final in order to start the preparations for the following season."
