TIGANA EYES TRAORE

FULHAM manager-to-be Jean Tigana has reportedly approached Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier about the possibility of taking French defender Djimi Traore on a long-term loan deal.

Traore moved to Anfied in February, for £550,000, from Laval, and is seen as a huge long-term prospect, but is unlikely to make the first team in the immediate future and could relish a move to Craven Cottage.

Houllier has rejected an offer from Nottingham Forest to buy Traore, but may accept a deal that will allow one of his highly prized talents to gain valuable first team experience.

Meanwhile, Tigana has appointed an all-French coaching team, snapping up Christian Damiano and Roger Propos to join The Cottagers‚ÇÖ back-room staff.
