CSKA Moscow striker attracts interest from England and Italy

Seydou Doumbia's agent claims there is interest from the Premier League, but is unsure whether the CSKA Moscow striker will move to England. The Ivory Coast international finished the Russian season as leading scorer, but could be heading for pastures new in the summer after CSKA failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Doumbia admitted last week that he would be willing to play in England, Italy or Spain, and he has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester City. Reports have suggested that he could be a replacement for compatriot Didier Drogba at Chelsea, although the 24-year-old is rated in the £26million bracket.

Waiting

The player's representative Jean Bernard Beytrison says Doumbia has yet to make a decision on his future and is waiting to see if CSKA receive any offers. "I know there are Italian and English clubs interested in him, but for now they are just rumours," Beytrison told calciomercato.it. "Is the Premier League his most likely destination? No, Seydou will decide where to go. "We are waiting for the official steps to be made by some clubs and until then I don't want to say anything. "I have not yet spoken about his price with CSKA Moscow."
