Striker plays down chances of final being his last game for Chelsea

Didier Drogba has rubbished rumours linking him with Barcelona and played down the notion that the UEFA Champions League final could be his last game for Chelsea. The Ivorian's future at Stamford Bridge has been the subject of intense speculation for some time, with his current contract due to expire and no new deal agreed as yet. Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay revealed after the FA Cup final earlier this month that the club would sit down at the end of the season and discuss Drogba's future. Drogba admits he would be happy to talk with Gourlay and assess his options for the future. "We'll sit down with him and we're going to talk," said Drogba.

Barcelona denial

Recent reports have suggested Barcelona are lining up a move for Drogba, but the 34-year-old has rejected the rumours. "There are a lot of rumours about me being offered to Barcelona. It's not true. It's not true," he said. He added: "No matter what happens, everybody's talking a lot about 'last game'. "I'm just happy, because we're again in the Champions League final. "Nobody expected us to be there at the beginning of the season, but I think we did everything to reach the finals."
