Chelsea midfielder Lee Sawyer would be happy to stay at Southend United for the rest of the season.
Sawyer is spending three months on loan at Roots Hall and has impressed in three appearances to date.
The teenager is enjoying playing first-team football and would have no qualms in extending his time with Steve Tilson's side.
"If the manager wants it to happen then of course I'd like to stay for longer," said Sawyer.
"I came here to play first-team football and that's what has happened.
"I would happily stay here until the end of the season as long as that's what the manager wants as well, so hopefully I can keep doing well."
