Stanic seeking help

Chelsea's Mario Stanic is to seek further medical help on his persistent back injury that continues to keep him on the sidelines.

The Croatian has struggled with injuries ever since his £5.6 million move from Italian side Parma in June 2000.

A knee injury was his major problem but this term a back injury is keeping him out of the action.

Stanic has played just four games so far this season with his last appearance coming two months ago.

It has been reported that he will now enlist the help of German doctor Hans Muller-Wolfhart.

The renowned German has worked on the likes of Michael Owen, Vladimir Smicer, Darren Anderton and Dominic Matteo - and has been known to inject animal juices to get results.

He has down well on the likes of Owen, Matteo and Anderton and Stanic hopes that he can do the same with his back problem.
