Nemanja Vidic happy at Manchester United but refuses to rule out future Italy switch

Nemanja Vidic says he is happy with life at Manchester United - but has refused to rule out a future switch to Italy.

Vidic hailed the significance of last weekend's crucial Premier League win at neighbours Manchester City which put United six points clear at the top of the table. Sir Alex Ferguson's men lost both top-flight games against their cross-city rivals last season and the defeats proved costly as City swiped the title from United on goal difference. "Currently we are in an excellent table position but we have to work a lot and still win as many points," added Vidic, who is set to make his comeback from a knee injury against Sunderland on Saturday. "It was crucial to win against City after last year." The United star has also urged City's Italian international Mario Balotelli to make the most of his ability. "I think he has qualities and a great potential, but now he has to show it. He is young and young people can make mistakes. "He has talent and he can become a top player, but it depends on him."
