Former Spurs man close to Middle East move

Borussia Dortmund's Lee Young-pyo is reportedly close to joining Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal. According to media reports in the Middle East, the former Tottenham Hotspur defender has spoken with officials from Hilal and is believed to be happy with the terms offered to him. If a deal materialises, Lee will sign a one-year deal worth €1million, with an option to extend for another 12 months if he impresses at the Riyadh club. The amount of transfer fee to be paid to Dortmund is unknown at this stage but it is understood Hilal's new coach Eric Gerets is desperate to land the 32-year-old. Lee's arrival will see him take the place of compatriot Seol Ki-hyeon, who has returned to Fulham, and joins Romanian Mirel Radoi and former Bolton Wanderers winger Christian Wilhelmsson as the 'foreign' players at the club.
