Robins boss keen on Mulgrew, Jones and Low

Swindon boss Maurice Malpas has confirmed his interest in Charlie Mulgrew, Ritchie Jones and Josh Low. The Robins have made one bid for Wolves defender Mulgrew, with the Championship club holding out for a higher valuation. Malpas has also been holding discussions with Manchester United midfielder Jones and Peterborough winger Low.

Agreement

He told the club's official website: "We are still talking to Wolves with regards to Charlie Mulgrew. "We have put in a bid and Wolves have come back with what they are looking for. I don't think we are too far apart in terms of valuation, it is just how it is achieved. "I am hopeful that we can come to some agreement to get Charlie Mulgrew here. We have a structure and won't break that but if it does go through then great. If not, then we will move on to other targets." The County Ground boss is also keen to bolster his attacking options with Jones and Low on the radar.
Moving
Malpas added: "With regards to Ritchie Jones it has come to the stage where I would like to get something done. He can play in several positions - central midfield or out wide. "Negotiations were stuck for a while but we are moving again. A few other clubs in England have shown an interest and I believe there are clubs in Scotland looking at him too." And on Low, he said: "I was keen for him to come here for six months so we could have a look at him. "There are other clubs interested in him, too. He would give us something different in the wide areas and he is a different type of player to what we have here already."
