Crouch bags his tenth of season

Peter Crouch has been credited with the goal against Newcastle on Boxing Day.

Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has been given the second goal in their Boxing Day win over Newcastle.

The goal was originally given to Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given after he tipped Crouch's header onto the post, but failed to keep it out.

The header was looked at by The Premier League dubious goals panel who have now given the goal to the England international.

Crouch began his career at Anfield slowly, failing to net in The Premiership until the start of December when he bagged a brace against Wigan but the £7 million summer signing now has 10 goals to his name this term as well as scoring his first international goal.

Elsewhere, Park Ji-sung has had his goal against Fulham taken off him and credited as an own goal for Carlos Bocanegra while Andy O'Brien was judged to have got the important touch in Everton's winner against Portsmouth, taking the goal from Leon Osman.

Middlesbrough striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has had his goal chalked off against West Brom, Ronnie Wallwork adjudged to have scored in his own net.
