Heinze urges Duscher signing

Gabriel Heinze admits he would welcome Aldo Duscher to Man Utd with open arms.

Gabriel Heinze admits he would welcome fellow Argentine, Aldo Duscher, to Manchester United with open arms.

Duscher is rumoured to be a January transfer target for The Red Devils, while Newcastle United are also interested in the midfielder.

The Deportivo La Coruna man is aware of the interest from the Premiership duo, with the Spanish club likely to demand £8 million for a New Year sale.

Heinze is unsure of how strong United's interest in Duscher is, but the left back would relish the chance to play alongside his compatriot at Old Trafford.

"I have read [the stories about United] and it would be fantastic to play together again," Heinze told As.

"Aldo is an excellent player who, for me, has already demonstrated that he is worthy of a team like Manchester United.

"Every footballer wishes to play for a great team someday and, for that reason, it is understandable that he wants to try new experiences.

"Duscher has magnificent conditions as a footballer and his game would be very much appreciated at any club.

"If he chooses to come, he would be coming to a most excellent club - that he can be assured of."

Heinze admits United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has not asked him about Duscher, but he would be happy to provide a glowing reference of the midfielder.

He added: "I would tell him whatever he asked me because I am very transparent in my opinions.

"For me, he is a magnificent person and an excellent player.

"Even so, he is well known as a footballer because of his career in South America and Europe.

"I don't believe that my coach needs information from me on him because he has been in football many years."
