Silvestre blasts Domenech

Mikael Silvestre has blasted national team coach Raymond Domenech.

Mikael Silvestre has blasted national team coach Raymond Domenech after being dropped from the latest French squad.

The Manchester United star has produced some ordinary performances in recent internationals but is disappointed with the manner in which he has been dropped from the party to face Poland.

The 27-year-old defender joined Robert Pires in criticising Domenech's lack of communication skills.

"I am not disappointed, I am infuriated," admitted Silvestre.

"There is a lot of communication between the coach and the press but none within the team.

"Just like Robert (Pires) said, the atmosphere is mixed, but hopefully the atmosphere will get better soon.

"I am not giving up on the French team - I am only 27 and I remain optimistic."

Domenech dismissed Silvestre's criticism as unfounded.

"Everyone has a right to express himself - my conscience is clear," said Domenech.
