The England international has long stated that he is happy that Arsenal are rebuilding their squad to challenge once more for The Premiership, and that he is keen to see some competition between the posts.
With Feyenoord unhappy that a move for Jerzy Dudek appears to have fallen at the wayside, there are suggestions that Wright will become Arsenal's third multi-million pound signing of the summer, but only if he is guaranteed as first-choice keeper.
However, Seaman's agent Steve Kutner has insisted that his player is 'cool' about the whole situation, and will complete a new deal.
"David knew all along a new keeper was coming to Arsenal this summer. He is on holiday in Portugal and very cool about the whole thing," said Kutner.
"In fact, he is excited that Arsenal are making such a go of it in the transfer market and increasing their chances of winning the Premiership.
"The contract is waiting to be signed when he comes back. It has been merely a question of logistics that has stopped him. He will sign."
Meanwhile, Vieira is once more the subject of furious speculation in the papers with one tabloid stating that the Arsenal midfielder will go, and the Gunners hierarchy still insisting that he is not for sale at any price.
The French international has emerged at the top of several wanted lists, in Italy, Spain and England, but Arsene Wenger does not want to lose his most influential player.
The Sun newspaper, quoting an un-named 'friend' suggest that Vieira has stated that he will not remain in Highbury, has reiterated that he does not want to make a return to Italy after an unhappy spell with Milan and that only two or three Spanish clubs and one English side match his desire for success.
An official club statement released on Friday simply read: "Patrick Vieira is an Arsenal player and is not for sale at any price."
Any attempt by Manchester United or one of the Spanish giants would seemingly require a challenge to the whole transfer system, which could be an extremely complicated process.
