Crystal Palace have bolstered their defence with the deadline-day signing of Scott Dann from Blackburn.
The 26-year-old passed a medical at Palace before signing a three-and-a-half-year contract after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £1.5m plus add-ons.
Palace confirmed that Dann became their third deadline-day signing following the earlier captures of striker Jason Puncheon on a permanent deal from Southampton and Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.
A statement read: "Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Blackburn Rovers centre back Scott Dann for an undisclosed fee.
"The commanding centre-back becomes the Eagles' third permanent deadline day signing after agreeing terms on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
"Dann, 26, makes the switch to SE25 after spending two-and-a-half years with the Ewood Park outfit, making just over a century of appearances and captaining the side during a turbulent period in their history."
Dann added: "Any professional footballer will tell you that they want to be in the Premier League.
"It's something I've done before and really enjoyed and having the opportunity to come and play here for the next couple of years, do well and help the team - it's something I really wanted to do and I'm glad that it's all gone through."
