Aston Villa's players have insisted that misfiring striker Christian Benteke is still contributing to the cause and will soon find his scoring boots.
The 22-year-old Belgium forward has struggled to reproduce his extraordinary goalscoring feats of last season, when he netted 14 goals in the last 19 games of the season.
Benteke is now without a goal since September but showed signs he will soon be back among the goals with an encouraging display in the 1-0 victory at Sunderland on New Year's Day.
Midfielder Ashley Westwood said: "It was great seeing him when you look up there and you've got someone to pass to.
"I thought he was back to his old self - throwing people out the way, holding the ball up, bringing other people into play. His goal will come and then he will be back to his best."
Fellow Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor added: "He didn't get his goal at Sunderland but he had a lot of chances.
"I think it was good to give him the break he had to get his injury sorted and he was flying. That is big news for the fans, the team and the club. Hopefully we can get him back to his best."
