A number of English clubs are tracking Slovakian international Marek Cech after he parted company with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.
The 30-year-old had a year left on his deal in Turkey, but due to new restrictions on the amount of foreign players allowed in their league - Trabzonspor have now agreed with Cech to mutually terminate his deal.
Now Cech, who enjoyed three years at West Bromwich Albion before moving to Turkey in 2011, is free to find a new club and moving back to Britain is a possibility.
His English representative Barry Thomas confirmed to Sky Sports that there was interest in the former Porto man.
"A number of clubs are aware of Marek's situation now is he a free agent," he said.
"It is safe to say there is a good chance he will be playing in England next season."
