Chelsea defender makes St Andrews move
Sky Sports understands Chelsea defender Ben Gordon has agreed a loan move to Birmingham.
Blues boss Lee Clark has made a new left-back one of his top priorities and he has moved to agree a deal with Chelsea for Gordon.
Gordon, who is highly rated at Stamford Bridge, has enjoyed loan spells at Kilmarnock, Peterborough, Scunthorpe and Tranmere over the last couple of seasons.
Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo is happy to loan out Gordon as he feels he has enough cover in Ashley Cole and Ryan Bertrand at left-back.
Gordon is set to sign a six-month loan deal at St Andrew's with the deal to be reviewed in January.
The 21-year-old will become Clark's fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Peter Lovenkrands, David Lucas and Hayden Mullins.
