Midfielder goes straight into Robins squad to face Blackpool

Bristol City manager Derek McInnes has expressed his delight after completing the signing of Sean Davis on a month's loan from Bolton Wanderers. Davis told Sky Sports earlier on Friday that he was heading to Ashton Gate to build up his fitness after not playing a first-team game since August 2009. The 32-year-old has been restricted to just four appearances for Bolton since his 2009 move to the Reebok Stadium after being sidelined by two serious knee injuries. However, he will go into City's squad for Saturday's Championship game against Blackpool and McInnes is happy to be able to call upon Davis.

Quality

"I'm delighted we've been able to bring in a player with the experience and quality that Sean possesses," McInnes told the club's official website. "Given the impact injuries have had on our midfield, it's ideal that we've got Sean on board for the next month. "He hasn't played a lot of games recently, but has been fit for a while and desperate to play. His enthusiasm for this move is very welcoming. "I'd like to thank Owen Coyle and Bolton for getting this deal done so quickly, and also the board for allowing me to bring in a player on the back of the recent injury situation."
