Sky Sports understands Roma's David Pizarro has arrived at Manchester City for talks and a medical.

Earlier in the day, Sky Sports revealed that the two clubs were in talks over the possibility of a loan deal for the midfielder.

And that now seems to have progressed with the Chilean midfielder arriving in Manchester to complete the formalities before finalising his deal.

Roberto Mancini has been keen to add more options to his already multi-talented squad as they home in on the Premier League title.

Pizzarro is in his sixth season in the Italian capital where he won the league title in 2005-06 season.
