Sky Sports understands Cameroon international Eric Matoukou is hoping to seal a move to England to end his current Ukrainian nightmare.
The highly-rated 28-year-old defender won the league title with Genk in Belgium last season which earned him a move to Dnipro in Ukraine.
But Juande Ramos took charge just weeks later and since then he has frozen out Matoukou without even making an appearance for the club and at the end of last year he was sent on loan to Arsenal Kiev.
Now Matoukou is hoping for a late deal to take him to England and a number of clubs are thought to be weighing up a move.
West Bromwich Albion and Wolves are believed to be amongst the clubs contemplating a late swoop.
