Striker not ready to leave Belgian giants

Anderlecht striker Matias Suarez insists he is not ready to leave the Belgian club and join Premier League giants Arsenal. Recent reports suggest that the 23-year-old has attracted interest from Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as the Frenchman looks to add more firepower to his struggling forward line which has relied heavily on the goals of Dutch ace Robin Van Persie. The Argentine, who signed for Anderlecht back in 2008 from little-known Belgrano has attracted interest from a number of clubs from around Europe. However, after being handed the Golden Boot award for being elected Belgian Player of the Year 2011, he claimed he would not be tempted into leaving Paars-Wit in the transfer window with the club currently a point clear of Gent at the top of the standings. "I want to, at the very least, finish the job that I started and that is helping the team to win the title, which is what everyone deserves," he said in De Standaard. "I don't know where the story has come from that I will be joining Arsenal this winter, but I can formally deny it. "My bosses are well aware of what I want and that is to stay at Anderlecht for now. I'm still learning and that's another reason why I don't want to leave." Suarez has a contract with Anderlecht until June 2015.
