Bolton boss says defender has no need to move to a bigger club

Owen Coyle says Gary Cahill can showcase his England credentials at Bolton Wanderers. The defender has been linked with moves to London giants Tottenham and Arsenal and has said he may have to move to cement an England spot. But Cahill seems to be part of England coach Fabio Capello's plans and looks set to go to Euro 2012 as part of the first choice defence. His contract at the Reebok Stadium expires next summer but Coyle is hoping he can convince Cahill to stay. The Bolton boss said: "You have to remember he's been involved in other England squads with this club. "When you get the chance, you must play well regardless of who your club side is. I hope Gary is established now and I thought he looked a seasoned performer the other night. "But you can't take anything for granted. There is real strength in depth. What Gary has to do every time he is asked to play is do his very best. That can only stand him in good stead."
