Park Ji-Sung: Says Manchester United have bounced back from their derby defeat

Park Ji-Sung is confident that Manchester United's derby mauling is now forgotten and is looking forward to the rest of the season.

The champions got back to winning ways by strolling to a 3-0 win over Aldershot in the Carling Cup and following it up with a hard-fought victory at Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

United now look to take that momentum into Wednesday's game with Otelul Galati in the Champions League and take another step towards the knockout stages.

Park said: "It was very important for us to get back to winning ways after the defeat against City.

Encourage

"The boss told us that in the club's history, we always get over (bad results). He encouraged us to play and be confident.

"We had to show that and the players had to fight to win the game and the determination was great.

"Goodison Park is always a hard game for us, we have had difficulty there. We had to win the game."

Having made a flying start to the season, United's form has dipped in October but with a relatively kind run of fixtures ahead, the South Korean believes momentum can be built.

He added: "It is very important to improve ourselves for the rest of the games. Hopefully we can continue to play like that."
