Central defender interested in Ewood switch

Blackburn boss Steve Kean has reportedly made a bid for Major League Soccer star George John. FC Dallas centre-half John claimed he has been told by club bosses that they are mulling over an approach by Rovers. The 24-year-old, who has dual Greek and US citizenship, has become a key member of a tight Dallas defence which has kept 12 clean sheets this season. Speaking to reporters at Dallas' home ground Pizza Hut Park, John admitted he would be keen for a slice of Premier League action but played down suggestions that a deal was imminent.

Decision

He said: "It's a good team, we're a good team and I don't know what's going to happen. "Obviously as a professional soccer player you want to reach as far as you can. "It's huge and if it happens that would be great. "I understand that FC Dallas as an organisation and Major League Soccer have to make a decision. "So we will see how it goes. It is kind of out of my hands right now."
