Rangers want Wright-Phillips

Skysports.com understands that Queens Park Rangers have made a move to land Shaun Wright-Phillips. The Manchester City winger is in demand with his future looking likely to lie away from the Etihad Stadium. Roberto Mancini has confirmed that he would not stand in Wright-Phillips' way should he want to move, and he now has a number of options. Bolton Wanderers had been leading the chase and have held talks with the 29-year-old, but as yet have been unable to finalise a deal. Clubs from Italy, Spain and France have also been linked, but now QPR - fresh with new financial backing following Tony Fernandes' takeover - are set to offer him terms. Skysports.com understands QPR have made their move and have held talks about getting the winger, who was previously thought to favour staying in the North West. But now with the interest from Loftus Road, the former Chelsea man could be persuaded to return to West London.
