Kean's style of play criticised; Striker wants move to Ukraine

The agent of Nikola Kalinic thinks it is impossible for the striker to play for Blackburn again and has slammed the Premier League club's style of play. Kalinic is looking to leave Ewood Park and Ukrainian side Dnipro, who are managed by former Tottenham boss Juande Ramos, have reportedly offered £6million - the price he cost Rovers from Hajduk Split two years ago - for the 23-year-old. Rovers owners Venky's appear to be holding out for more, but the Croatian's representative, Tomislav Erceg, believes his client is unlikely to play for the club again. Kalinic is currently at home in Croatia and not in the Far East with Blackburn, who are playing in the Asia Trophy. "It is a bad situation for Nikola," Erceg is reported as saying in the Lancashire Telegraph. "He is at home because the team is in Hong Kong and what else can he do? "We have our fingers crossed something will happen in the next couple of days but we just don't know. It has gone on a for a long time and nothing has been sorted. "Nikola just wants to play football. It is a crazy situation because it looks impossible for him to play football at Blackburn."

Unhappy

Erceg has also strongly criticised Blackburn's style under manager Steve Kean, who succeeded the sacked Sam Allardyce last December, claiming no striker would score goals when playing with certain tactics. He told Index: "Kalinic wants to move to the Ukraine, but the clubs have to come to an agreement first. "It is not a secret that he is unhappy at Blackburn. He also doesn't like the attitude of some people at the club. But that is life. A new coach came in and Nikola isn't in his plans. "So he wants to leave, as he can't see any reason to stay. He will not become a better player by not playing. "It would be the best for both sides to just say goodbye on a friendly basis. Dnipro really want him, coach Ramos speaks highly of him and that is very important. "And even if he would play regularly at Blackburn, I doubt that he would score a lot of goals. "Nobody can at Blackburn, not with that style of play. Nikola wants to be in a national team so he needs goals, he needs matches."
