Newcastle forward Peter Lovenkrands admits he is still aggrieved he did not win a penalty in the draw with Manchester United.
The Dane appeared to have been brought down by Anderson in the second half of the goalless draw at St James' Park, but referee Lee Probert ignored the home side's appeals for a spot-kick.
The game with Premier League leaders United was a story of two penalties not being awarded, with the visitors also seeing their call for a spot-kick waved away after Javier Hernandez went down in the area under Danny Simpson's challenge in stoppage time.
Adamant
Lovenkrands is adamant he should have won a penalty for Anderson's challenge on him, but he was happy to see his side hold Sir Alex Ferguson's men to a draw.
"When it happened, I was quite sure that there was an offence, and now that I've seen the situation on television, I am still surprised that I did not get it," Lovenkrands told
Bold.dk.
"It was a clear-cut penalty, because he removed my legs."
The 31-year-old rejected suggestions that he left his leg hanging in a bid to win the penalty off Anderson.
"I did not at all," said Lovenkrands. "I try to take my next step forward, but I can not, because his legs are in the way and then I fall.
"It was obviously a clear-cut penalty."
He added: "Manchester United will probably win the league again this year and they are the highest scoring team in the Premier League so it was a positive point for us.
"There were not many people who figured that we would get more than one point in the match, so we must be satisfied."
Safe
The draw leaves Newcastle seven points above the relegation zone and Lovenkrands believes they are now safe in the Premier League.
"We also have a good goal difference, and there are many teams between us and the bottom so it should not really go wrong," added Lovenkrands.
"But of course you should not take anything for granted."
