Harry Redknapp claims there is no amount of money that could tempt him to part with Luka Modric.
The Tottenham boss has seen the future of his Croatian playmaker called into question yet again, with the latest reports suggesting he is generating interest in Italy.
This is not the first time the 25-year-old has been linked with a White Hart Lane exit, with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea having been mentioned as potential suitors in the past.
Spurs have never paid much attention to the rumours, with it having always been their intention to keep Modric out of the clutches of a rival.
Redknapp insists they are not about to relax that stance and has informed any club preparing a summer raid that they would be wasting their time in lodging a bid.
Speaking to Croatian newspaper
Sportske Novosti, he said: "I wouldn't want to sell him for £100million, not even for a billion.
"He's the hub of the team."
No luck
Modric penned a new six-year contract with Tottenham last summer and his agent Mario Mamic has also been quick to play down speculation linking his client with a move elsewhere.
He is not the only Croatia international generating transfer rumours at the moment, though, with the future of domestic and international colleagues Niko Kranjcar and Vedran Corluka still up in the air.
Kranjcar has admitted in the past that he will look to move on if first-team opportunities remain sporadic, and Redknapp admits he cannot guarantee the former Portsmouth man games.
He said: "Niko's a great player and a great guy, very polite, but the guy just has no luck.
"I don't want him to leave the club - he was fantastic last season - but we've got Gareth Bale out on the left of midfield.
"Believe me, he'll be back in the team. I don't know when, but he will be back."
Upbeat
He added of Corluka: "I would be sorry to lose him.
"He's a really upbeat guy, always does what I ask him, but unfortunately he suffered the injury in that stupid challenge from (AC Milan's Mathieu) Flamini and it ended that great run of form he was in."
Meanwhile, Redknapp has hailed the attitude of goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa, with the Croatian having made just one appearance since arriving on loan from Spartak Moscow.
He said: "Pletikosa has been really good in training, but what I would say is, what would you do in my position if you had Heurelho Gomes?
"Gomes is in great shape, and you can't play everyone."
