Skysports.com understands Tottenham are poised to seal the signing of Croatia international goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa.
The Spartak Moscow man has been a long-term target for Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and he is now close to landing his man.
Redknapp wants the 31-year-old to provide cover and competition for Heurelho Gomes and Carlo Cudicini.
Pletikosa is understood to be in London for talks and a medical and should seal his switch to White Hart Lane in the next 48 hours.
Spurs are thought to have agreed a season-long loan deal with Spartak and he will become Redknapp's first signing of the summer.
