Gary Megson has added another midfielder to his wish-list in the form of Cameroon international Achille Emana.
The 27-year-old impressed for Real Betis in La Liga last season, following a £5.5million move from Toulouse in June 2008, but failed to help his side avoid relegation.
Emana bagged 11 goals and seven assists during the last campaign, and Bolton boss Megson is hoping to secure a deal before the transfer window closes.
"We tried to buy him last year, but he went to Betis and had a decent season there," he said.
"They've found themselves in trouble though, so whether there is a possibility on that one, I don't know."
Megson is trying to shore up his midfield for the Premier League campaign ahead, having already made a move for former Trotters favourite Kevin Nolan.
