Stoke City have offered defender Andy Wilkinson a new deal at the club.
Wilkinson has a clause in his contract which allows him to negotiate a new deal if he played more than 16 games for the Potters this season.
The 24-year-old has featured in 22 games this term and he is in line for a new improved contract.
"It was hard to start with - I had to get the club captain [Andy Griffin] out of his place. Hopefully I deserve a new deal," Wilkinson told Radio Stoke.
