Sunderland forward could rejoin former club Aalborg

Aalborg defender Michael Jakobsen wants Sunderland's Rade Prica to return to his former club in the January transfer window. Prica has been out of favour at the Stadium of Light after a frustrating 12 months at Wearside. The 28-year-old striker has attracted the interest of three clubs in recent days, two English sides and one foreign team believed to be his former side Aalborg. With Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia keen to let the former Swedish Under 21 forward leave during the transfer window, Jakobsen has urged his side to do their utmost to land Prica. Jakobsen told Onside: "He would make the first team immediately. He is a strong player to put the ball to. He has many qualities. "We have several small strikers and they can be very hard to play the ball to from the defence. "They have a rough time with strong and tall defenders and a larger player would be welcome." Aalborg, who featured in the UEFA Champions League group stage against Manchester United and Celtic earlier this season, play their first game of the year on 18th February when they face Deportivo La Coruna in the Uefa Cup.
