Tigers boss not planning deals for Taylor and Abd-Rabou

Hull City boss Phil Brown has denied reports that he wants to sign Ryan Taylor and Hosni Abd-Rabou. Speculation has claimed that Brown is lining up January moves for Wigan Athletic's Taylor and Egyptian striker Abd-Rabou. But, ahead of the opening of the transfer window, Brown confirmed he has no plans to bring the duo the KC Stadium. "It's starting," Brown said. "It's going to be a culmination of speculation and agents putting names about. "They're trying to get their players moving, but there is no interest in either player."

Turner reward

Meanwhile, Brown expressed his delight that influential defender Michael Turner has voiced his wish to sign a new contract. He added: "It was nice for Michael to come out and say that, we have been sitting around the table for three or four weeks now with his agent. "It is nice to reward the players that have done the business at top end. "Michael was an unknown quantity when he came into the Premier League, but after half a season he has probably proved he can play at this level, so it would be nice to tie the deal up."
