Gunners boss hails attacking full-back's team-mates

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has praised his players for their efforts in lifting full-back Emmanuel Eboue. Eboue was booed off at Emirates Stadium last weekend against Wigan Athletic following a disappointing performance from the substitutes' bench. The Ivorian started in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League loss at Porto and received positive backing from the travelling support. Wenger has praised Eboue's attitude off the field and confirmed that he is determined to win the fans over. "The players have done the biggest part of the job because they supported him very well," said Wenger on the club's official website. "We want to show that the best way to help him, the club and the fans is to win our games. You always say that we care about the club and the only way to show that is to do well for the club. "Certainly he has shown that he doesn't bear any grudge and he wants to restore relations with the crowd and I find that fantastic. That doesn't mean that internally he will not suffer."
