Midfielder seeks America advice over knee injury
Bolton manager Gary Megson fears injured midfielder Gavin McCann will miss the start of next season.
McCann played a crucial role as the Trotters avoided Premier League relegation in their 2007/08 campaign.
However, Megson has revealed that McCann has been playing with a knee injury and the former Everton, Sunderland and Aston Villa man is to fly to America to undergo checks.
And Megson accepts that McCann will be facing a tough task in recovering fitness ahead of the next campaign.
"He has been playing with a problem for a while," Megson said in The People. "He has got floating bone."
