Former Liverpool and England goalkeeper David James has returned to India for a second spell in charge of Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters.
James was player-head coach of the Sachin Tendulkar co-owned franchise in the inaugural season of the ISL in 2014 where he guided the Blasters to the final.
The 47-year-old takes over from Dutchman Rene Meulensteen, who was sacked on Tuesday after a poor start to the season which has seen the Kochi-based outfit lose five of their first seven matches.
Kerala's squad includes former Manchester United trio Dimitar Berbatov, Wes Brown and Paul Rachubka.
James' appointment sees the number of English managers in the Indian Super League rise to four.
Steve Coppell, who managed Kerala last year, is boss of Jamshedpur, Teddy Sheringham is in charge of two-time champions ATK and John Gregory is head coach of Chennaiyin.
