Hazard warning

Sky Sports Fantasy Football's Pete Hall picks Eden Hazard as the man to deliver midweek points.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football's Pete Hall picks Eden Hazard as the man to deliver midweek points.

With Chelsea's strikers continuing their profligacy, Eden Hazard not only leads the way with assists, but is also the Blues' top scorer, and with the visit of lowly West Ham ahead, the Belgian superstar can accumulate plenty of points with the Sky Sports Fantasy Football armband this week. A Samuel Eto'o hat-trick against a hapless Manchester United in the Blues' last league outing finally took Jose Mourinho's strikers' combined goal tally past Hazard's, who already has nine goals this season - helping him achieve an impressive 149 points so far. And with Wednesday's visit of a West Ham side that have shipped 28 goals in their last nine matches in all competitions, the 23-year-old midfielder will be relishing getting back to league action after failing to score or provide an assist in the vital victory over United - a rarity for him. Chelsea have won 12 of their last 15 Premier League clashes with the Hammers, and are strong odds-on favourites to pile more misery on West Ham's beleaguered boss Sam Allardyce. Hazard (£8.8m) has the guile to cause some real damage on Wednesday, but is not the only player who could shine. Frank Lampard (£7.9m) and Fernando Torres (£9.3m) both enjoy playing against the Hammers. Lampard has notched five goals in his last five encounters with West Ham, while Torres has six in his last seven. Another player with a good record against his side's opposition on Wednesday is Sergio Aguero. The Argentinian hitman has four goals in his last four appearances against Tottenham ahead of their clash at White Hart Lane, and has given Manchester City's title aspirations a huge boost. With six goals in his last four in all competitions since returning from injury, City's already healthy-looking goals-for column could get even more impressive. Club record signing Juan Mata (£9m) looks set to make his debut for his new side Manchester United against Cardiff on Tuesday, and is 5/2 to score on his United bow in Sky Bet's Juan Mata Specials market. Wayne Rooney could also hand under-pressure boss David Moyes a welcome boost by making his return for the Red Devils. United have missed their talisman, having only won two of the five matches in all competitions since the England forward picked up an injury on New Years' Day. Elsewhere, much of the attention will be on Tuesday's Merseyside derby, with fans hoping for a repeat of the excitement the bitter rivals provided in the 3-3 draw at Goodison Park earlier in the season. Romelu Lukaku (£8.6m) was very much Everton's standout performer that day, scoring two and grabbing the Man of the Match award, and with four goals in his last four appearances against the red half of Merseyside, he could well make it a difficult evening for the Liverpool defence. Daniel Sturridge (£9.2m) has notched 16 points in the two games since returning from injury, and looks set to keep his place in the side, and could get on the scoresheet again against the Toffees, after heading Liverpool's late equaliser at Goodison. Despite being the subject of transfer speculation, Newcastle's French midfielder Yohan Cabaye (£6.6m) could help pile more misery on Norwich boss Chris Hughton on Tuesday night. After notching the Man of the Match award in the Magpies' 3-0 win at West Ham last time out, the in-demand 28-year-old is primed to play a key role at Carrow Road. Defensively, Arsenal will be looking to capitalise on Southampton's off-field problems to shut them out at St Mary's on Tuesday night. With the Saints' Dani Osvaldo suspended by the club after his training-ground bust-up, the Gunners will be hoping to continue their solid recent run. Laurent Koscielny (£6.9m) and Per Mertesacker (£7.5m) have been pivotal to a recent run of three clean sheets in their previous four league clashes, and have been common fixtures in a side that have only conceded more than one goal in one of their previous 21 Premier League outings, and will be looking to help the Gunners maintain their spot at the summit of the Premier League.
