Sky Sports Fantasy Football's Tim Clement considers whether two dream debutants are the real deal

Adnan Januzaj: Costs a mere £4.2m in Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Adnan Januzaj and Andros Townsend are likely to be popular picks in Sky Sports Fantasy Football, having impressed before and during the international break.

Januzaj (£4.2m) racked up 16 points on his full debut for Manchester United with a sublime brace in their 2-1 victory over Sunderland, before Townsend (£4.6m) announced himself on to the international stage in impressive fashion.

However, while Townsend's dream debut against Montenegro would have earned him around 15 points as he scored one, set one up and was named man-of-the-match, his performances for Tottenham this season have been less fruitful, racking up just 13 points from six starts.

The same questions surround Januzaj's ability to build on his impressive display, with a regular place in the Manchester United starting line-up hardly nailed down with one fine offering.

The number crunchers at Sky Bet are clearly are not getting too carried away, with Januzaj 25/1 to score another brace when Southampton visit Old Trafford, while Townsend is 4/1 to net anytime at Aston Villa.

The duo have certainly shown the potential to be the bargains of the campaign but, with fierce competition for places at their respective clubs, it is perhaps premature to be throwing the captain's armband their way.

The game's most popular skipper Robin van Persie (£10m) is also looking a questionable candidate for the position, having failed to score in his last three appearances for United in all competitions.

That mini drought has left the Dutchman with less than half the points of leading scorer Daniel Sturridge (£9.2m), who leads the charts with 70 thanks to six goals and four Sky Sports MOTM awards.

Liverpool's trip to Newcastle is likely to present plenty of opportunities to add to that tally given the Magpies have conceded seven goals in their last three Premier League games.

However, Everton's Romelu Lukaku (£8.6m) is rated an even shorter price to score with Sky Bet at 4/5 as the Toffees host Hull City.

The Chelsea loanee has netted four times in three appearances since joining but faces a defence which has not conceded in three hours and 46 minutes of action.

However, Everton's record at the back is even more impressive, with seven clean sheets from their last eight games at Goodison Park, making offensive full-backs Leighton Baines (£7.7m) and Seamus Coleman (£6.5m) even more appealing.

Southampton's backline trumps that, having conceded just twice this season, but the Saints face a tough ask in improving that record when they travel to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Arsenal are rated the big favourites with the bookies this weekend as Norwich and Cardiff are their respective visitors.

While the Blues lack a striker who has netted this season, their defence should be trusted having conceded just once at Stamford Bridge this season, while the Gunners' Aaron Ramsey (£5.8m) has remarkably already reached double figures for club and country.
