We test out the CTR360 III Maestri football boots from Nike

'The CTR 360 Maestri III is for the player looking to dictate the tempo of a game' says the PR blurb from Nike on their big boot for the 2012/12 season, which will be sported by the likes of Andres Iniesta and Jack Wilshere amongst many, many others. Obviously, we haven't got any Iniesta's or Wilshere's here at Sky Sports towers, but the point of these boots is that even your average football will feel like a superstar sporting a pair of these yellow numbers. We plucked out one such average footballer, Tim 'twinkle toes' Thornton, to give them the once over and see if even his game could be raised by the new technology encasing his feet. Here's what he had to say... It's easy to see why there is such a buzz about these boots. I've seen them worn by some of the biggest stars in world football, so I was keen to try them out for myself. And as soon as I pulled them on they were the talk of the dressing room. They look great but they also fit like a glove and they are incredibly comfortable. They are great for twisting and turning. The boot feels like it is moulded to your foot so they are fantastic for that all-important first touch. And my shooting has never been so good. But the most important feature of this boot is how it performs in the wet weather. Nike All Condition Control Technology is fantastic. These boots give you the same control of the ball regardless of whether it is wet or dry. That gives you a massive amount of confidence as a player. These boots really live up to the hype. They are lightweight, highly durable and they are a fantastic aid to performance in all conditions.
