Plymouth Argyle are interested in signing striker James Scowcroft, skysports.com understands.
Scowcroft is currently without a club after his contract at Championship side Crystal Palace expired.
The 33-year-old joined Palace from Coventry City and scored 14 goals in 83 league appearances for the club.
Pilgrims manager Paul Sturrock is thought to be keen on Scowcroft and could move for his services this summer.
