Luis Enrique declared himself on a "mission" to win the treble after Barcelona reached a first Champions League final in four years with a 5-3 aggregate victory over Bayern Munich.

Bayern put in a spirited show at the Allianz Arena to beat the La Liga leaders 3-2 but it was not enough to stop Barca reaching next month’s final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

Enrique hailed his side's achievement of reaching the showdown for the first time since 2011 but immediately switched his attention to sealing a La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League treble.

"It's a great achievement to reach the final," said Enrique, whose side has still yet to win in Munich despite five attempts.

"I am very satisfied with the performance of my players, the whole team deserved the victory and we have to enjoy this.

“We're one win away from winning each of the three competitions,” he added. "This is our mission."

While Lionel Messi dazzled in the first leg by scoring twice and setting up Neymar in a 3-0 romp, it was the Selecao star who extinguished Bayern's Berlin dreams and took his tally to 11 goals in his last 10 games.

Before that, Bayern opened the scoring when Xabi Alonso floated in a corner and Benatia headed home unmarked for his first Champions League goal.

The Bundesliga champions hit back in the second half through Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller to seal a 3-2 victory on the night but Enrique’s men were not to be denied.

Enrique added: "With such a good result from the first leg, we knew they had to give more.

"The second-half was different, because they attacked us more, but we are now in the final and can win the title in each competition we are in.

"This is what it means to be part of Barca."

Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta echoed his manager's sentiments but warned against complacency.

He said: "I think we are where we want to be every year, we are one step away from everything and we need to take this step. We can't stop or settle for less. It would be incredible for all the fans and the players.

"Every year is different, this year we have to enjoy it, we have overcome very strong opponents. We are very close and we need to take the next step."
